Friday March 7, Saturday March 8, and Sunday March 9, 2014
We are excited to announce the return of the popular Prohibition Resistance: Bock Tour for 2014, as well as the addition of the Prohibition Resistance: DoppleBock Tour on Friday and Saturday nights of Bockfest.
The Bock Tour is a 2 1/2 hour tour through three historic brewery structures in Over-the-Rine. We start the tour at Bockfest Hall before heading around the corner to the Schmidt Brothers/Crown Brewery, where we will learn about lager beer and travel through the underground tunnels deep below McMicken Avenue. Walking to the historic Hudepohl Brewery, you’ll hear from some of the brewers themselves. Our final visit takes us deep below the Kauffman Brewery and it’s massive lagering cellars, before heading through another tunnel and reemerging in Bockfest Hall to continue the festivities with a complimentary beer.
New this year is The DoppelBock Tour, a 1 hour condensed tour through the Kauffman Brewery lagering cellars. You’ll learn how lager beer drove the development of the city and see where it was made, before returning to Bockfest Hall to continue the festivities with a complimentary beer.

The tour includes four 19th century churches located in historic Over-the-Rhine: some of Cincinnati’s oldest houses of worship. Each church features stunning architecture – some with stained glass windows built in the early 19th century. Tours will be lead by the award-winning guides from American Legacy Tours. Please note that it is a walking tour. Tickets are $20, and tour time will be 1:15P starting from Bockfest Hall.
