The Beard Baron Returns on Saturday, March 8th!

​Registration for our SIX competition categories will be held from 4:00-5:00 PM by the stage at Northern Row.

Competitors MUST be registered by 5pm to become the Bockfest Beard Baron!

Competition begins immediately following the conclusion of registration.

Beardsmen and Whiskerinas will compete in one of SIX categories. Winners will be announced immediately after the competition.

Finally, we'll crown our Best in Show, AKA The 2025 BOCKFEST BEARD BARON!

The Baron will rule alongside with the Sausage Queen who will be crowned later that evening at Rhinegeist Brewery.
Categories & Judging

Your judges for the evening will include local beard and stache aficionados, members of the Cincinnati Beard Barons Facial Hair Club and representatives from Bockfest and Northern Row.

The judges will determine the winners based on a number of criteria.
CATEGORIES
WHISKERINA (Ladies Creative Beard) - Competitors will craft their own fake beards from anything they like! Be bold! The best fake beard (realistic or fantastical) wins!

FULL BEARD UNDER 5” - Competitors should have a full beard with a length less than 5”. Competitors may style their mustache, but it will not count in the overall judging.

FULL BEARD 5 - 10” - Competitors should have a full beard with a length greater than 5 and less than 10”. Competitors may style their mustache, but it will not count in the overall judging.

FULL BEARD OVER 10” - Competitors should have a full beard with a length greater than 10 ”. Competitors may style their mustache, but it will not count in the overall judging.

FREESTYLE (Full, Partial or Mustache) - A beard or mustache styled with any product. This category includes the free design and creative styling of the facial hair in any form.

MUSTACHE (Styled or Natural) - Competitors may wear their mustache styled or natural. Competitors may have sould patches, sideburns and muttonchops, but they will not be considered for judging.

PARTIAL BEARD (Chops, Goatee, Whaler, etc.) - Competitors may have any style or length of partial beard that does not qualify for other 3 categories. Styles can include Whaler, Mutton Chops, Goatee, etc.

***Full beard categories are measured from the bottom of your lip to the bottom of your beard. Competitors are not required to straighten their beard for measurement ​
