Dear Bockfest supporter
Bockfest is Back! The 31st annual Bockfest takes place March 3-5, 2023!
Bockfest is a celebration of the coming of spring in Greater Cincinnati. It is, first and foremost, a community event. In addition to throwing a great party, our goal is to celebrate and support our Over-the-Rhine community. We work to grow Bockfest every year, increase attendance, and raise funds for the non-profit Brewery District Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation. But, as enthusiastic as we are about growing the festival, we are unwavering in our commitment to keep Bockfest unique, authentic, and local. There is no charge to the public to attend, and we work to include all types of local businesses as our goal is to promote our community, its rich heritage, and the people who live and work here.
Bockfest is arguably the most Cincinnati of Cincinnati festivals, and it all begins with what is, undoubtedly, the city’s most unique parade. Now the second largest annual parade in Cincinnati (after the Findlay Market Opening Day Parade), it is led by a giant Trojan goat and a goat pulling a keg of beer, followed by German oompah bands, Celtic pipes and drums, “bocking” dogs, and a herd of zombies known as the “Bocking Dead.” The weekend continues with a 5K race, historic walking tours of Over the Rhine, live music, dancing, a ton of great food, beer tastings, a 0.5K “race,” and much more.
You can support Bockfest financially in a couple of different ways:
